funky faith friday 4/8

Here are a few things that I am crazy enough to believe God for:

1. Doing a prayer event in a couple of weeks. Joliet has been hit with an early rash of summertime violence. We are going to pray for God to protect our children, families, and neighborhoods.

2. I am expecting this prayer event will spark a spirit of service in our city. People don’t just want to hear the Gospel, they want to SEE it in action also.

3. I got a little side-tracked with my writing. I am looking forward to new energy on all of my writing projects.

After much prayer and consideration, I have decided to sacrifice my personal ministry desires and goals and put my efforts and energies into pushing forward the mission of my new church home, One Vision Worship Center.

One V is a dynamic, young church led by our pastor, Deon Hayes.
Pastor Hayes and his wife have shown my family and I love from the first time we met.
It is an honor to serve under him as we impact the Joliet community with the love of God.

One Vision is a growing ministry that has enormous potential.
There is not only great people in leadership, but there is a tremendous love displayed by the membership.

I look forward to strengthening this growing movement.
To God be the glory!

headed in a new direction

I was going to make an announcement before this announcement but I decided agianst it :) .

The latest change in my life is:

My family and I have decided to transition out of our home church to
One Vision Worship Center

One V is a growing (300+), young (4 years old) church here in Joliet.
The have a dynamic pastor, Deon Hayes and they have the love of God in full effect there.

While I still have the dream of planting a church in my heart, it is humbling and exciting to assist this great man of God and this awesome church in furthering the Kingdom of God.
I can hardly wait to see what God is going to do in my life and in the lives of my family and One V.
