funky faith friday (11/18)

I have had an exciting week. God is doing so many wonderful things.
Here are a few things that I am believing God for.

1. We have started an initiative to bless a local elementary school with school supplies and extra uniforms.
We are believing that God will prompt others to partner with us in this effort.
Click here to check it out and donate.

2. We are looking forward to 2012, which we believe will be a monumental year.
We are looking to expand the Kingdom in 2012!

3. We are looking for a diverse crew of sold-out believers to come alongside of us as we impact the city of Joliet and surrounding communities with the love if Christ.

what the world needs now….

Murder
Suicide
Addiction

Now is not the time for religion and tradition.
Now is not the time for rituals and politics.
Now is not the time for racism and sexism.

Now is the time for the fearless and the courageous.
Now is the time for love and justice.
Now is the time for grace and mercy.

A new day is upon us, whether we like it or not.
This is the day of new beginnings.
The day of a new way of thinking and speaking.

No longer bound by fear and intimidation.

God is love.
His love is moving and active.
If you have it, you have to give it away.

It’s On!

My city was hit, again, with violence this past weekend.
One young man was shot to death and 3 others were injured.

Frankly, it doesn’t matter who they were, their ages, or even the color of their skin.
What matters most is that they were important to God.

If they were important to God, they should be important to God’s people.

There are entire segments of our population that never get touched with the love of Christ.
Far too often we want them to look like us before we give them the Good News.

I believe that now is the time to hit the streets like never before and reach people right where they are.

Our city must be reached NOW (Acts 1:8)
God has given us the power and the authority to win our city for the Kingdom.
Let us not misuse that power trying to reach only people in foreign countries.

Let’s TRANSFORM Joliet!

I am so ready to go to the next level in God.
I believe that He is calling for us all to stretch our faith like never before.

1. We have a great initiative to help out an elementary school in Joliet. Look for the details next week.
2. I am also believing for an awesome holiday time to show others the love of Christ.
3. I am looking for a diverse crew of people who want to make an impact for God in Joliet

Im back

After almost 1 month of not writing, blogging, etc, I am back!

I have been doing a lot of praying, soul-searching, thinking, and praying.

All in all, I believe that God has spoken to me and shown me the direction I must take to make the kind of impact that He wants me to make.

Stay tuned for our community initiative, STEP up for Woodland

Here are some of the things that I am believing God for:

  3. Looking for a multi-ethnic crew to Step Up and do something amazing!

STEP UP for Woodland School

STEP UP for Woodland School

Woodland School in Joliet, Illinois is a great school. It is home to 500 wonderful students.

The principal and the staff there do all that they can do to ensure that the pre-K to 5th graders have a safe, fun environment to learn in.

They need our help.

Our goal is to help them with school uniforms and school supplies. Although each child had what they needed at the beginning of the school year, some additional supplies and uniforms are much needed.

Here are 3 ways that you can help us in this project.

1. PRAY

Please pray that we can make a positive impact on the students and faculty of Woodland School. Pray that this initiative will be a time where people can experience the love of God in action.

2. DONATE

If you are in the Joliet area, please feel free to purchase school supplies and uniforms and drop them off at the school. Do not worry about the quantity. Any amount makes a huge difference.

3. GIVE

If you are not in the Joliet or if getting to the school doesn’t work for you, please hit the button below to give to this worthy cause.

Our goal is $3000 in 30 days

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns. See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the everlasting way.”
Psalm 139:23-24

One of the things that separate the “one-hit wonders” from those with long-lasting success is character.

Character is often defined as doing what’s right, even if no one is looking.
A person with good character is thought to be dependable and trustworthy.
It is our responsibility to represent ourselves in the best way possible.
The president of your company and the janitor should be able to see that you can be relied on at all times.

“People grow through experience if they meet life honestly and courageously. This is how character is built.”
Eleanor Roosevelt

God, I desire to please You in every area of my life. remove any barriers that would keep me from experiencing all that You have for me. I will strive to live each day with the focus of fullfilling my purpose and blessing everyone that comes my way. I look forward to a long life, full of victories and accomplishments. My future is in Your hands.
Amen.

2. I am looking to bring together a multi-ethnic, Spiritually-motivated group of people to do something that rarely is done. I Believe!

3. I am expecting miracles to take place in the coming months. God is building my faith and I want to encourage others to believe for the Impossible.
