I was honored to present Woodland School with over $100 worth of school supplies this week.
Woodland is an awesome school with great students and a wonderful team of teachers and administrators.
We will bless them again on March 1st.

Please pray for a couple of items:

1. Our 1st bible study (small group) will be starting in March. Needless to say, we are pumped up!
We are looking forward to making an positive impact on Joliet, teaching and sharing the love of Christ!

2. We will be having an informational meeting about Soul Purpose Church soon. We are looking for Soul-ed out people to partner with us on this journey!

One thing that has always bugged me was why there is such little diversity in churches.
Sunday morning is STILL the most segregated time in our country.

While outside the church doors racism still exists, inside we gather amongst ourselves and think nothing of it.

The other 6 days of the week, we have no problem shopping, eating, and rooting for the same football team (Giants!?!)

What I don’t understand is why we can’t reach out to people of a different color in our cities without making them feel like some second-class person.

The way we treat someone gives them an example of how God would treat them.
Would God belittle someone and have them thinking that they are less-than?
Would God stand next them in church but not speak to them at the mall?
Would God preach only about how “his” race has to overcome?

I am sure that you might think that these are exaggerations but they’re not.

This I know for sure.

I have received testimonies of healing and employment this week.
God is amazing!

I know it has nothing to do with me but everything to do with God.

I believe that He is up to something in Joliet.
People are hungry for Him, and some don’t even know it!

We need to hear the Word and place it in our heart.
We need to clear out all of the noise of popular opinion and our past experiences.
Let the Word take root in our hearts and believe.

After you believe, you need to act on what you believe!
That’s faith!

The Word of God produces life (Prov. 4:22) and brings healing to all flesh.
The Word will take something that was dead and make it come to life!
It will make something out of nothing.
It will even turn a desert into a garden if the Word is planted there.

You don’t need to know exactly how God is going to do it.
You just need to believe and act on the Word!

Healing? Believe.
Money? Believe.
Marriage? Believe.
Deliverance? Believe.

All you need to do is Believe.

Everything and everybody wants to be the top dog.
People everywhere are scratching and striving to get the best positions.

“We’re number 1″
That’s what they all say.

When the mother of James and John came to Jesus for a favor, she wanted a place of prominence for her sons. Jesus explained that if they wanted to be great, they had to be servants.

When I think of great leaders I think of men and women who would gladly sacrifice themselves for others.
These people are not necessarily the pastors of mega-churches or CEO’s of multi-billion companies.
These individuals give, not looking for anything in return.
They don’t look for publicity moments.

They serve with their heart.

If you are looking to be the greatest, look to serve others.

That’s the way we can all be winners.

All of my hope is placed in Him and I will continue to call on Him.
I am ready to storm the gates of hell to rescue the lost.
It’s time to move out and hit the block.

Real love is an ACTION, not a feeling.
The greatest act is of love is giving yourself for others (1 John 3:16-18).

It’s time to ACT!

It’s a miracle that we made it out alive.
After you catch your breath and dust yourself off, you need to do a quick inventory of what you have.
You need to make sure that you highlight the good that is around you.
Don’t take even the smallest item for granted.

Life and breath. Check.
The ability to move around on your own. Check.
Sight. Check.
A mind to think with. Check.
Food and shelter. Check.
Clothing. Check.

Now that we have that out the way, let’s check out what your next move should be.

You should, first and foremost, find yourself on your knees talking to God.
God knows all about the situations that you found yourself in.
He is neither shocked nor surprised at the mess that you made.
What He wants from you now is to come to Him to receive all that you need.
Next you should surround yourself with people who believe in you and want the best for you.

Get around those who will have your back and will keep it real with you when you step out of line.
Lastly, believe in yourself.
We all have screwed up our lives at one time or another.
No one is exempt from failures. You must continue to see yourself as a valued child of God.
You have the great privilege of being able to go to God and ask for forgiveness when we mess up.
And the best thing is, not only does He forgive us, He also cleans us up and removes all the dirt and filth of mistakes and sin.
He makes it so we can start again.
What’s next is we can begin again and we can move forward with God on our side.

Everything that we do should be motivated by Love.
We should give Love without reserve.
After all, we serve a God who is love personified.

Love isn’t about us, it’s about someone else.
People in our communities are crying out for someone to love them.
We have been given this precious gift to share with others.

If we set aside our desires we can love like God wants us to.

In spite of our differences in color, age, sex, income and denomination, we all need to come together.
Everyone’s perspective is needed.

Contrary to popular opinion, no one has all the answers.

All of the subtle discriminatory actions should cease immediately.
No more “spiritual profiling”.

Unity is not about being the same.
It’s about having the same goal.

The call of Christ should bring us together.
Our Unity will give us strength.
