The Kingdom of God requires that we die to self and allow God to rule over our lives.
We must deny ourselves of what our sinful nature desires and take on the selflessness characteristics of Jesus.
The price we pay by identifying ourselves with Christ may seem like a lot but it can’t be compared to the benefits that we receive in this life and in the one to come.
By making a choice to become a Christ-follower, we also choose the needs of others over ourselves.
Our commitment to Christ weighs in more than anything else in our lives.

Father, I submit myself to you. I no longer consider my wants and needs to be the most important thing. What motivates me is your will and your Word. I lay down my life before you. I seek to honor you with all that I have. Thank for giving me a new vision to see what you have placed before me.
