“The one that hears my words and doesn’t put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation.”
Luke 6:46
In order to stand firmly, structures need a strong foundation.
It doesn’t matter if it is a one-bedroom house or a 100-story skyscraper, without the proper foundation, it won’t last.
People hear inspiring sermons every Sunday, every time they go to church.
There are books available for every subject that you can imagine.
Bookstores and libraries are full of information and “how-to’s” on everything from money management to health.
Having all of these inspiring words are good, but they are only beneficial to us when we apply what we have heard.
If we don’t apply anything, our knowledge will never be able to stand the tests of life.
We won’t have the experience of seeing if what we know actually works or not.
Make the choice to not only gain knowledge but to also put what we learn into practice.
Words are good, but a foundation built on application lasts forever.
